John 1: 4-10

(John 1: 4-10)

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

The reaction of the people of this world to Jesus, who came to this earth in human flesh, was clearly divided. There are some who believe and accept that Jesus is the Son of God and that He is the Lord of life who gave the light of hope to those who were in the midst of despair of death. There are people who don't know who he is and don't want to believe the words of Jesus. God chose one person in advance for those who did not recognize Jesus Christ, the light Savior, and sent them to proclaim the light that will come, the Savior.

John, who was entrusted with this task, realized the purpose of God's sending him in this world, that is, who came to bear witness to the light, not himself, and realized his mission and fulfilled the tasks faithfully entrusted to him. He who came to testify against the light, not the light John the Baptist, who introduces himself, says that he will follow Jesus and live as a witness of Jesus, but he asks many people who want to be noticed as a light to think once more about the attitude of those who follow Christ.

There were many people who did not accept Jesus Christ, who was the Creator and was the Word in the beginning. Now, Jesus Christ, who came to the earth created by himself in a human body. The Bible says that He gave us the privilege of becoming.

Man, whose relationship with God was cut off due to sin, now called God the Father because of Jesus Christ, and granted him the privilege to live as a child of God. When a person doesn't know about God, and when he doesn't accept God and his Son, Jesus Christ, humans value themselves most, set goals for what's good for them, and live their lives. Even though I was at the center of the world, and I'm living in the bonds of self-centeredness, I think that this kind of life is the most important and meaningful life to myself.

However, when I realize how dirty and ugly I am a sinner, how many things I cannot do on my own, and how strong I am, I am truly weak and poor. It is only when I realize that I cannot save myself, and that my weaknesses and problems can be solved with external help, not myself. And realizing that only the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who is full of grace and truth, can save me, repenting to God and repenting to Jesus Christ. Together, the body of sin dies and is born again into a new life.

In Old Testament times, no one dared to see or meet God. Man could be justified only by keeping the law God gave through Moses. However, no one has been able to keep this law perfectly. That is why he was able to live before God by sprinkling animal blood and repenting of his sins. The purpose of God's giving the law to the Israelites is to realize that they are sinners and to find Christ in them. If he does not find Christ, he is still under the law.

The word for his own land and his people means his own. This is an interpretation of his own. The Lord came to the land of Judea and the Israelites. It was the Lord's possession that the Lord chose among all the earth and all people. The Lord sent Abraham and Moses to give us the tabernacle and temple, which are models of heaven, and the ark. But those who belonged to him did not receive him.

In John 5:43, ``I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. Jesus is the name of his father. Man, a sinner, has no one who can go to God except through the Son of God. You can reach God through only one God's Son, Jesus. However, only when we die with Jesus, the Son of God, is the way through the Son of God. Today, many churches teach that the forgiveness of sins is paramount. Forgiveness of sins is not first, but regeneration comes first. To be born again is to die and be born again. In Romans 6:7 the dead are freed from sin.

As if the wind blew and did not know where it came from and where it was going, he said, "All those born of the Holy Spirit are like this. This is the secret of the born again. Those who are born again are those who have the mystery of faith. This faith is a gift to the born again. There are two kinds of faith. It is the faith of the unrepentant and the faith of the repentant. The faith of the unrepentant can walk on the sea looking to the Lord like Peter. However, if it doesn't change, that belief is nothing more than a belief that you believe. This faith is the faith that casts away Jesus standing before the cross. If you do not repent, you will not be united with Jesus on the Cross. The mind of the flesh becomes enemies with God. In Romans 8:7, the mind of the flesh not only does not want God's law, it is said that it cannot yield. It is said that a carnal man is a being who does not want to repent.
