John 1: 14-18
(John 1: 14-18)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried,
saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred
before me: for he was before me. And
of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but
grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time; the
only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Logos, not in
Genesis, but John interprets it. The word logos appears a lot in math class. It
comes from the term log, logic (logical). Philosophers say that it is Jesus who
works between God and man. The logos became flesh and dwelt among us, and the
word "dwelling" here means "tent." It means that the time
when Jesus was born corresponds to the Jewish feast of Tabernacles.
Jesus was born at the
Feast of Booths. This evidence shows that in Luke 1:5, when Jesus was King
Herod, there was a priest in the class of Abijah, who was the father of John
the Baptist. John the Baptist's father, Zacharias, has a priestly order in 1
Chronicles chapter 24, with 24 members a year. He was two a month. The order to
which Zacharias belonged was the eighth order. Zacharias enters the sanctuary
and meets an angel, saying, "God gives you children. He said, name him
John. It comes after serving for 15 days there. And John the Baptist is born
ten months later. That was the day of Pentecost.
Jesus was born just
six months later. That was the Feast of Booths. In Luke 2:1, ``And it came to
pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all the world should be
taxed. 』Rome ordered a family register to collect taxes, but
when it was done, it was done after the fall harvest. That time is the Festival
of Booths. It can be seen that the time when Jesus was born was the Feast of
Booths between September and October. When Jesus was born in 2:8, “And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night. 』Israel's
winter is a rainy season. After October, it started to rain and the sheep were
out. When the shepherds slept with their sheep at night, the Feast of Booths
was the last time.
Jews who believe in
Jesus in Israel do not celebrate Christmas on December 25th. Nimrod, who is
said to be the son of the sun god who opposed God, was on December 25th. A.D.
Around the year 300, Emperor Constantine recognized Christianity as the state
religion, but he worshiped the sun god until his death and believed more by
adding Christianity. He became a strange believer who believed in Jesus and
also the sun god. The religion under Constantine was a mixed form of religion.
Since then, Christmas is celebrated on December 25th for 1,700 years. The
custom of distributing gifts at Christmas and the custom of cutting trees and
decorating them beautifully are not related to Jesus.
People know the
truth, but they just follow the truth that is good for them. However, those who
repent will follow the true truth. Jesus never said to commemorate his own
birth. A.D. There is no record of him saying that he had celebrated Christmas
until 300 years. Christians only remembered Jesus' death. There is evidence
that Jesus was born at the Feast of Booths in Luke 1-2 and John 1, and there
are also some rabbis who do not believe in Jesus in Israel that Jesus was born at
the Feast of Booths. Those who repent are interested in the truth. The Bible
testifies that Jesus was born at the Feast of Booths, but most churches have no
interest.
But, why is the Feast
of Booths so important? This is because the Second Coming of Jesus is deeply
related to the Feast of Booths. There are two known tombs of Jesus in Israel.
Constantine's mother is said to have found Jesus' tomb. There is the Church of
the Tomb of Jesus, which is traditionally spoken in Catholicism. It is
completely different from the atmosphere in which there is a big stone in the
Bible. Another tomb was discovered by a British soldier at the time of Israel's
independence. As the Bible says, near the tomb there is water, a garden, and a
hill that looks like a skeleton. It was known as a grave site in the past as an
execution site.
In Luke 2:7,
"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling
clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the
inn. The expression “first son” also appears in Matthew chapter 1. In Catholicism, Jesus is called
her only son, and Mary is said to have only given birth to Jesus until her
death in her lifetime. In the Gospels of Mark and John, the names of four male
brothers of Jesus appear. Some say that Jesus, his brothers, and his disciples
were together, saying, ``Isn't the author the son of a carpenter?Do you know
James and his four brothers, and his sisters and brothers?'' Jesus Christ is
the only man born of the Holy Spirit. In Genesis, it was said, "The
offspring of a woman break the head of a serpent." That place is the
cross. The only descendant of a woman is Jesus Christ.
“The
baby was laid in a manger, because there was no place in the inn.” Joseph and Mary arrived in the middle of the night. It was because
it was the Feast of Booths that people filled inns in Bethlehem, 30 minutes
from Jerusalem. People did not accept Jesus. Because no one accepted Jesus, he
was lying in the food trough of the manger. Jesus spoke before his death.
Heaven is like a king who prepared his son's wedding feast. That is the heart
of God. Now he has his son come as king. When the king comes, he will have a
wedding with the church where he is the bride. By the way, in the illustration
in Matthew chapter 25, "People hated to come."
The reason was
because of the blessing spoken in Deuteronomy. They hated to come because they
bought a field, because they bought five cows, and because they had to marry,
they say that no one will come when Jesus comes again. In other words, he will
not come into the death of the cross. Through Peter Jesus shows us what human
conditions are like.
Today, many people
say that Jesus is perfect, sinless, and so wonderful that neither the wicked
nor the good must love him. Jesus forgave a Roman soldier who crucified his
hand even when he was crucified by saying, "I don't know what they are
doing. Please forgive me." People think that Jesus is love itself. Jesus
works the miracle of walking on the water, and when people try to make him king,
he humbly disappeared, and he was moved by the word of God. Many churches
introduce Jesus this way. However, in the Bible, Jesus is an expression that
people don't even want to look at.
In Isaiah 53:2-3,
"For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a
dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is
no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man
of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 』.
This is the image of Jesus who came to bear the sins of men.
Jesus wants people to
repent and be born again of the Holy Spirit. Most people just celebrate and
applaud the results of Christmas, but are not interested in being born again.
To be born again, the old must die. The day to be reborn by the Holy Spirit
will be the real Christmas.
