John 16:30-33
(John 16:30-33)
Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man
should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. Jesus answered them, Do ye now
believe? Behold, the hour
cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and
shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. These things I have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be
of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
No matter how
long we go through church life, we must see if we have repented or not. After
Eve and Adam ate the fruits of good and evil, their actions could not go to God
on their own. So they hid in the forest of the Garden of Eden. Likewise, when a
person sins against God, he cannot come to God himself. Today it is taught that
sinners can confess their sins or accept Jesus, but if the church teaches them
to unrepentant, it can be said to be false.
Before Adam
and Eve ate the fruit of good and evil, they had a vivid fellowship with God in
their memory. They are different from humans today. We have no experience with
the Lord until we return to Him. Before Adam and Eve sinned, the perfect love
of God was embedded in their experience. God was experienced as someone who had
nothing but love. Still, they experienced God's love after eating the fruits of
good and evil, but they could not go to God.
After we have
sinned, we cannot go to God ourselves. If you confess your sins to people and
tell them that you can go to God after receiving forgiveness, something
important is missing. Because Adam and Eve sinned, they came under the
influence of sin. Even today, even if we experience and experience God's love,
we cannot come to God if we sin. All of Jesus' parables are that even if God
invites man to a wedding feast, no man comes. Not realizing this and confessing
your sins and asking for forgiveness does not mean you will be saved. It is
said that if you return to God, God will accept it, but just as Adam and Eve
were hiding in the forest, sinners do not end with confessing and reflecting on
their sins.
Today, even
if we seek and worship God and confess our sins, we cannot return ourselves to
God. The way to return to God depends on the Lord. The Lord first called Adam.
The sinful man is different from the parable of the prodigal son. Through the
parable of the prodigal son, it is thought that the sinner only needs to return
to God. The prodigal son knew well that his father was love. So he decided to
go back. Adam did more than the prodigal son. Adam received perfect love from
God. It was incomparable love to the prodigal son. However, it cannot be
returned. This is God's sovereignty. Adam did not call on God first because he
couldn't overcome the guilt. God called Adam first. Everything that has to do
with salvation cannot be done without the sovereignty of the Lord. That is why
the reception prayer is wrong.
