John 16:1-7

(John 16:1-7)

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.  But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

The Holy Spirit means the comforter and the Spirit of love. That is not the beginning of the gospel. Jesus is a long sermon in John 14-16, and in chapter 14 he said, "You believe in God, believe in me again." Chapter 15 says, "I am the true vine and you have branches, and if a branch is attached to a tree, it bears fruit." In Chapter 16, It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. .

The word
the Comforter is not used these days. It means protecting, gracious, and teacher. In Greek, paraclaytos "para" means "by your side", and claytos means "the one who speaks" by your side. The Holy Spirit is poured out on this earth. It means that the spirit of truth is beside you. He is saying that he rebukes the world for sin, for righteousness, and for judgment.

People today mistakenly think of the Holy Spirit as a gift-giving Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not the Spirit of love, but the Spirit of truth. The world is under the wrath of God. In essence, they are children of wrath. Humans receive the body from their parents, but the spirit from God. However, because the spirit fell, in essence, he became a child of wrath. Satan makes it impossible to realize this. But the Holy Spirit rebukes. In Galatians 1:9, the apostle Paul said, As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. I said. Many churches today preach a different gospel.

About sin he said, They (the world) do not believe in me (Jesus). Before Jesus died on the cross, the sin the Jews say was breaking the law. However, when Jesus came and died on the cross, he carried all the sins of the world. It is a sin not to believe this fact; it must be in Jesus. They must be nailed with Jesus. The old man must die.

The old man did not die, and the fact that he repeats his confession of sin every day is because he does not know what the Holy Spirit says. If the old man died, you must remember "I die every day." All the sins of the world are not forgiven by just believing in Jesus, but only when the old man dies and is in the "In Jesus" is the forgiveness of sins. Those who believe that the old man died in Jesus, but still worry about sin, hear the reproof of the Holy Spirit.

About righteousness means that Jesus comes to God, but righteousness in the Old Testament does not break any of the laws. But the Holy Spirit is saying that it does not accomplish righteousness. Jesus Christ died on the cross and took all the sins of the world and went to the throne of God. If you compare these things with the Old Testament, you will understand. In the Old Testament era, because the Israelites could not keep all the laws, they had to offer sacrifices to fulfill God's righteousness. And the high priest had to go to the Most Holy with the blood of killing animals, and at this time, just as God forgiven the sins of the Israelites, Jesus shed the blood of the cross and took all the sins of the world on his shoulders and went to the throne of God as the high priest. God is.

Because Jesus plays the last role as the high priest, He becomes God's righteousness to those who believe in Jesus Christ. After Jesus Christ served as high priest, he sat at the right hand of God's throne. And the saints in Jesus Christ sit with him. Those who are not physically with Jesus Christ, but who are in Jesus Christ are also righteous.

About the judge means the king of the world has been judged. By the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, Satan was driven down from public power to the earth. In Revelation 12:12, ``Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. In other words, those who are in Jesus have changed their masters.

In 1 John 2:15, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. This is a word to those who are not born again. If the old man does not die, he will love the world. It means that unless you are born again, you are not in Jesus. In John 3:16, ``For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This is what he is saying about the born again person in Jesus.

3:14-15 reads And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: . This is what Nicodemus heard from Jesus. And in 3:16, John heard and wrote the words of Jesus. It was to explain those who were born from above and those who were born again. He tells us that the forgiveness of sins is not the core of salvation, but that we can only be saved by being born again. Forgiveness of sins is the result of regeneration. Only those who have been born again receive the forgiveness of sins, rather than being born again by receiving forgiveness of sins. To be born again is the death of the old man. You must be born again with water and the Holy Spirit. You must not be deceived. You must understand the words of the Holy Spirit well.

All the Israelites did not believe Caleb's words before the land of Canaan, but the ten spies. Everyone wept, and sorrow turned into anger, and they tried to stone Joshua and Caleb to death. This would be all human beings. Noah's Day Countless people believed Noah's words to only seven families. God said, "What all humans think is evil." The flood started and it rained for 40 days and nights. God's wrath has begun. This was God's judgment. In Romans 3, he said, "Man is under the wrath of God." The Bible expresses that it is confined under sin. To be under the judgment of God.

The gospel is good news only for those who repent. Repentance is not a person who confesses and commits sin, but it is repentance that gives up the greed of sin and leaves sin. To die for sin. The standard of good news is God. Noah's Flood began, it rained, and the waters drained, a period of almost a year passed. The water drained and the ark opened. What God said to them is that "human thinking is evil." This is the same as the apostle Paul said in Romans. They built the ark, but in them there is a sinful root of greed. In the Bible, grapes are a blessing, but like Noah's example, humans made wine from grapes. What is good from God makes humans unhappy. Because there is greed that God hates in it. Greed is the desire to be like God.
