John 11: 28-32

(John 11: 28-32)

And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee. As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.  Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.  The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there. Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

In a poor town called Bethany, a man named Nasaro died. Then Martha, Lazarus' sister, came out. He told Martha, "Jesus said, "Your brother will rise again." In verse 24, "Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." ' This is not truth, but doctrine.

The doctrine does nothing. It is just knowledge. In the book of Revelation, the Lord said to Sardis, "There is a name that lives, but the dead." It means that you can speak with knowledge of the Bible and have knowledge in your brain, but you cannot overcome sin. From If you dwell in my words and become my true disciples, you will know the truth. Means "experience". Those who walk with God do not need to have knowledge of the Bible, but must be united with the Lord. What Martha said is something she knows through knowledge.

The difference between Jesus' "Your brother will rise again" and "I know that you will rise again when you are resurrected in the last day." This is what Jesus said. In verse 24, Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. ' People think of this as "I will come back someday after I die." The death Jesus spoke of is the past tense. Though he were dead, yet shall he live It means that those who believe in the Lord have died spiritually before, but are raised again. But many are still spiritually dead. That is why those who live spiritually and believe have eternal life.

The literal translation made the content strange. It means that you must live spiritually and believe in eternal life. Even though he did not live spiritually, he was mistaken that all he believed in Jesus would lead to the resurrection of life. Those who look at the literal translation think of "He who believes in me will live even if he dies" as a simple logic that one day, if he dies physically, he will be resurrected again. It is not physically dead, but spiritually already dead.
